Well How did all this start, and where did it all begin ,that is always a question that people have asked .

 A thought, an outrages idea, even a inspirational conversation has sparked off a carving frenzy .  

These sort of things have plagued my thoughts for a very long time .

Causing sleepless nights and itching feet ,wanting to go out to my shed and create a master piece,a master piece that has had my mind running ninety to the dozen with visions of the piece finished,and this doesn't seem to stop till the project has actually finished . 

My early years growing up were spent in my home town of Gisborne on the East Coast of New Zealand.

My father was of Ngati Porou decent , he also had an interest in the world of natural art.

From an early age I realized that I had a natural gift for carving.

As time went on I ventured into Bone Carving as well as Wood Carving, which I found to be quite enjoyable creating from these two mediums,that I found myself excited to see the end results.

I have carved many different pieces over the past few years,mostly with a reflection of my Ngati Porou  decent.

I am now working with New Zealand Jade (green-stone) as it is otherwise known.

I just love combining these three mediums together in one carving.

There is a pleasure knowing that when I have finished a piece that having all these mediums together has created a unique product and that there will only be one of it's kind .
